Self inking or Pre-inked?
Both types of stamps offer advantages for users. Self inking stamps tend to less expensive, and although they can be re-inked quite easily, they will get less impressions than a pre-inked stamp out of the box. Pre-inked stamps are generally good for thousands of impressions before re-inking, but do cost a little more up front.
Where self-inkers really shine is in the repetitive usage--for example, stamping multiple documents in quick succession. Because the self inking stamp uses a built in pad, the custom die will ink itself fresh on every use. Pre-ink stamps on the other hand need a few seconds to recharge after a couple of impressions, or the impression will lighten considerably.
At Getstamps.com we offer a full range of both self inking and pre-inked stamps.
